What is Acceleration Station

Acceleration Station ® is both an online and paper-based student benchmarking and reporting system. Educators can use the system's test wizard and test builder to draw items from the system's rich, curriculum-aligned item banks. A multimedia content editor is used to create new items and to import items that exist in MS Word or Adobe Acrobat Reader documents. Because most schools administer student testing on paper, the system produces paper test booklets and prints and scans preslugged scannable answer sheets. The scanning technologies save school districts tens of thousands of dollars each year in labor and material costs by printing on plain bond paper using virtually any of today's laser and inkjet printers and sheet-fed scanners. Test data is available to educators within a matter of minutes following the collection of the answer sheets, which supports the timely application of targeted instructional intervention. Acceleration Station's rich suite of system reports disaggregate test scores data by benchmark, gender, ethnicity, socio-economic category, subgroup, and government program. A web-enabled collaborative lesson planner and scheduler is also included. The lesson planner is used to create and distribute lesson plans and assessment schedules throughout a school district.
