<>Application for Free & Reduced Meals
Students who receive free or reduced meals must apply for them every year.  Each student should receive an Application for Free or Reduced Meals at school.  The Letter to Households lists the eligibility guidelines.  The Application Instructions are on the back of the application.  All students in the same family should be listed on ONE application and returned to any school.  They all are sent to Child Nutrition Services at Central Office to be processed.  Students may eat on last year's status for the first ten days of school.  The new application should be turned in to be processed by the end of the ten days.  Students may apply for meal benefits at any time during the school year.  Circumstances change, and free/reduced meals are a way to cope with changes in income.

Charges:  Students may forget or lose meal money.  Students will not be denied meals unless they have excessive charges that have gone unpaid.  Click here to access the Madison County Schools Child Nutrition Charge Policy.
