Welcome to the new Madison County School System Board of Education section of our website. The purpose of this site is to serve as the official media outlet for announcements, press releases, meeting schedules and policies from the board of education.
The five members of the Board are elected to serve 4-year terms. Two candidates are elected from each of the two districts and one for chairman at-large. Candidates are elected on a nonpartisan basis. Voters in each district vote for candidates within their respective district and for the chairman at-large. The Board of Education is committed to working toward setting and achieving goals that will improve the Madison County School System's instructional programs. The Board's goals include:
High Student Performance
Healthy Students in Safe, Orderly and Caring Schools
